It is not considered cheating to migrate hardware, whether it’s to faster, smaller core counts or slower, larger core counts.
Those swapping out increments for increased compute and performance is a huge benefit for the network. Increased compute = more capital investment = more risk. Those who have taken more risks have been rewarded more.
Keep in mind mining a protocol with a locked token supply is highly speculative and extremely risky. Do not invest more than you can afford to lose.
