Could we setup a Quilibrium Twitter (/x) ?
And maybe a subreddit ?
These are strong communication tunnels, and I believe that would help the community to get growing !
I’m not sure why we don’t have a twitter page yet…
There is no official Twitter account only community ran ones. There is no plan for an official Twitter as of right now due to how it’s being ran with all the spam and problems.
For folks who are more recent to the project, there’s a bit of history here that might be missed. Quilibrium began as a loose collection of decentralized versions of some AWS services I needed to support a p2p version of a Discord clone. In spirit of this, I intended to never use centralized services (or at the very least, if using one for a given purpose, that it would be something that can be lifted and shifted over to Q itself when it’s ready to host it). This is why the only Q Inc run social media account is on Farcaster. Since Farcaster does cost money to have an account, and it would harm the accessibility of the project for support conversations to use strictly it for communication, I relented and set up a Telegram channel. As previously mentioned, it has grown beyond its utility, so we have adopted something more practical in this form of this Discourse. The nice thing about Discourse is it can be self-hosted, is open source, and given our roadmap includes SQL compatibility, is something we can easily lift and shift onto Q. Twitter achieves none of these aims, has an incredibly poor track record for security/safety (we can’t even get the fraudulent Q accounts on Twitter posting wallet drainers banned despite our attempts to report them for impersonation and scamming), and has generally become quite toxic and non-conducive for meaningful use at this point.
